LCA uses flags to enhance worship, to further express and show visually our love for the Lord. Each movement, each flag, each color represents characteristics of our Lord.
Flags and Banners are used in a worship service, for God’s people as a visual tool on which to focus. They can declare a time of battle in spiritual warfare, God’s love, His grace, holiness and power. As the Spirit of God directs, the waving of Flags and Banners will open the “spiritual gates” of heaven allowing the Holy Spirit to flow freely among His people with healing, deliverance and encouragement.
The Flagging Booklet that is attached below gives a detailed explanation of the flags we use and what they mean.
Psalms 20:5 We will joyfully sing about your victory. We will wave our flags in the name of our God. The LORD will fulfill all your requests.
Psalms 60:4 Yet, you have raised a flag for those who fear you so that they can rally to it when attacked by bows and arrows. Selah
Isaiah 11:12 He will raise a flag among the nations and assemble the exiles of Israel. He will gather the scattered people of Judah from the ends of the earth.
Isaiah 13:2 Raise a banner on the bare mountaintop. Call loudly to them. Signal them with your hand to enter the nobles’ gates.
